Abstract

Improving the quality of healthcare services is a top priority for hospitals, especially for patients with limited mobility, such as stroke patients, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities. These patients require specialized care, including beds that can assist them in changing body positions without fully relying on medical personnel. This study aims to design a Smart Hospitality Bed powered by electric actuators, controllable via a remote. The bed is designed with dimensions of 2000×1000×600 mm and equipped with a control system that allows automatic adjustments to the backrest, legs, and body positions. Additionally, an integrated container for urination is provided to enhance the bed's functionality. The research methods include a preliminary study involving an analysis of patient needs, design development using Solidworks software, and the selection of components such as electric linear actuators. The next stage involves performance simulation to verify the device's functionality. This smart bed is designed to facilitate five main movements: backrest elevation, leg elevation, and lateral body movements to the left and right sides. This innovation is expected to improve patient comfort and the efficiency of medical care in hospitals. The study contributes to the development of more inclusive and effective healthcare technologies for patients with limited mobility.
